Hi Jan,
What .....you were in Haarlem five days ago? Well you captured the "Adriaan" very well, superb warm light, fine composition using the rule of third. Looks like a painting from the Golden Age Jan, great posting!

Beautiful light, Jan, as we can see on the old master paintings!
Excellent composition with the predominance of the windmill and the reflections of light on the facades. The roll of clouds is spectacular and adds much at the ambience. Excellent! Annie

wow Jan, colors in this shot (late day?) are so warm .. fantastic. The light on the buildings and on the clouds is lovely, and the contrasting blue in the sky is beautiful. Great shot.

Beautifully taken shot - great light and rich colours, understated dynamics: you have allowed shadows to remain shadows and the indistinct to remain slightly hidden. In a time of HDR and post-treatments bringing out every detail for scrutiny, I admire that kind of restraint and understatement.

The light playing on the windmill and houses is the main story but the empty seats in the dark add complexity and interest to complete the telling. A lovely photo.

This really is eye-catching!
The warm light is amazing! (Did you capture it in the early evening?) It appears that the sun is casting its own spotlight on the big mill and its immediate neighbours.
Fine composition and sharply focussed details.
