a postcard from Zierikzee

we heard so much about this beautiful place that we had to see the beauty. it really is delightful.

Zierikzee is an ancient town dating back to 849, besieged by the Spanish in 1572, and badly flooded by the tidal surge of 1953. It originally had direct access to the North Sea before the Delta Project and was an important town in medieval Holland. Its streets are all cobbled and the houses tilt at precarious angles into each other or over the narrow streets.

Very clear view and really fit for a postcard with this nicely composed shot of the water front.

I like the windmill you included at the far end but perhaps I would crop off a bit of the water at FG and make it diagonal from right bottom corner, since there is little reflection. Good work.

The deep blue colour of the water is amazing, Sharp houses and ships at the shore. The simple framing is attractive as well, beautiful, calm pier scenery. TFS.
