Antique in Delft ..Anno Domino 2006 !

In the old City of Delft .. with its historic view
there are certain rules for building 'new between old' as you can clearly see here.

A building build in between the old antique houses and the architects came up with this creation.
Not realy old .. but fitting niceley in the scene:

Antique from 2006.

Thanks Folks

PS
The ''white section'' against the window (left)is something on the wall..not my camera / lens

Lovely capture with great colours and composition, John Tulip. I love the textures and shapes, especially the contrast between the round wheels and the angles across the door.

Lovely composition, a truely classic shot, well done. The contrast of the window and the wall works very well and then the bike just adds to the feel and interest of the shot.

Cheers

Hi John,
This is a composition with the classical rules. Very good colors and textures and variety of lines. The rights and the curves are well balanced. I like the bike contrasting with white wall and the sharp reflections on the window. This photo could be the jacket of book. Very well done. Annie

PS/ It is important that rules protect the cohabitation from the old and the modern. There are only the wise governments which do it!

Hi John.
..what a beautiful capture this is. Love the colour and the texture. That bicycle is an eye catcher. Interesting title. This one is so well seen, thought of and captured.

Hello John,
Pleasant composition with very good colours!
I appreciate the distorted reflection, trying to figure out what it is I actually see in there...

Hello John,
its fabulous that they try to preserve the old style architechture. This fits in so much better with historical parts of the towns. Very nice shot of this new old building. POV, sharpness and details are great.

Good photo John, like the brick, window & door combo. This new antique looks like it will blend well with the old! Don

Very nice composition John! I really like the bike as an addition to the photo! Excellent!

Hi dear friend John,
Excellent , symmetrical composition, very sharp and with very good detail. The colors are natural and the whole scene reminds me of my visit to Holland some years ago.

Hallo John

Mooie comp.Vooral de tegenstelling oud /nieuw

Wonderful framed photo John, very good seen, very good composed.A really excellent work.

Hallo John.
Dit soort geweldige opnames vindt ik erg subtiel en met veel gevoel gemaakt.
valt weinig aan toe te voegen.
Frans

The white section appears to be paint John, I guess to try and blend the old with the new a bit better. Excellent detail, lovely colour and well composed. We almost have the same rules here regarding old and new. Most front walls have to be retained in the original styles and council approval is required before any painting is carried out. TFS,
David

Hello John!
1st it took me sometime to find that spot your note talks about... (like a long time)
I like all the different shapes.
SO above the door it has 2006 .. they built that door this year.. Nice to see that sort of workmanship is still done..

Hi dear bro, this is a nice photo of the building with an almost vintage bike :)

Love the soft tones here and the reflections in the window.

Also the lines all acros the image from the brick, the door and the window.

Well done! sis :)

Great patterns, textures, & colors. Very well done.

Rectangles, squares, circles, triangles.... How not notice the geometric aspect! And i like the reflection aspect in the windows too!

This is a very good composition and POV; simple but effective. I like it :-) Thanks,

Beautiful shot. Interresting composition.

Hoi John,
Groeten,
Niek

Perfect shot, great compo, sharp and colours.
Bravo.

Hello John!

Interesting graphism and various textures composing this image. The bike completes well the Dutch touch to the scene (^_^). You got that right the date , the plate over the door does not lie. Nice tight and effective composition.
Cheers!

Hi John.. great image here..specially with the bike parked there... only nit pick I would have is the door way.. I would have got the full brick surround in.. would have made for a more balanced look..
Good sharpness.

Thanks for sharing.

A lovely, gentle capture John. Elegant composition and interesting lighting and colour combine to produce a very successful picture.
An interesting reflection in the glass too!
I agree with your comments in the notes too; the architects/planners of Delft made a wise decision here I think.
Best wishes
