[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well, I thought Bruges became a little boring in the theme, so this one is from Holland: the east gate in the beautiful city of Delft.

According to an info-sign at the gate it was built around 1400 and expanded in 1514, at which time the high roofs were added. The building was restored in the early sixties.

Heerlijke plaat mijn vriend, geweldige kleuren en een schitterende compositie! Zelf zou ik de bladeren rechts boven hebben verwijderd, maar dat is alleen om wat te 'zeuren' te hebben;-)

I like this immediately because of the balance between the towers and the planters plus the mimicry of shapes between the planters and the gateway.
Beautiful PoV, superb composition (just off-centre) and really excellent balance of light and dark (blue skies and white clouds vs dark clouds).
The composition is very pleasing!
