Another one from my series taken at the Rotterdam Summercarnaval. where I went with my Treklens buddy placebo828 for an extrordinary photo-opportunity(PHOPP).

This phot took some extensive work. I treated the backgroun seperadly, to make the subject stand out better. ( Filter > Pixelize> Mozzateint > short strokes)
Background was seperated through magic lasso. ( Idon't know how to work with layers yet :)
Then I workes on the blue and yellow arund the eyes, to make them stand out more.
The red make up around the mouth has been completely replaced with another colour red.
Furthermore small work on contrast within the big white surface.

I invite everybody to 'workshop' this photo to see what else can come out !

Hoi Jan,
Great result from your work. Indeed, the subject is uncoupled from the background.
I like the white background in which the head is floating, like in a white sea.
Good job done.
greetings,
Joop!

Very eyecatching shot. Interesting treatment on the background. I like the way you've played with the saturation to bring out the colours here. Nicely composed too.

Excellent work. Nice street portrait.

Hi Jan,

Haha!! This image reminds me of the Joker from 'Dark Knight'. But more importantly the colours of the make-up really do comeout in that sea of white he is wearing. Good job with the work on the background. I do notice some blowout/flaring on some parts of the whites which resulted in some lost details.

TFS.

Regards,
Alvin
