The strong shadows gives this a most unusual feeling, Hans. Instead of focusing on the crowds inside the market we are drawn to the cathedral and the clouds beyond - attracted by the bright light.

Great pov here an interesting eye lead from the cathedral, to that 'painting' on the right, then to the crowds. Nice capture with lots of interesting details to look at. TFS

Ok, nu snap ik waarom ie zo donker is in de delen met de mensen erin. De wolk is inderdaad heel goed belicht, Hans, de kathedraal ook. Maar toch zou ik het gedeelte "onder de tenten" als extra layer toevoegen, nadat er met de raw-software een +1 correctie digitaal op is toegepast; zo maak je in feite zelf een HDR opname, zonder speciale software ;o). Maar goed, ik zit bij daglicht (in de schaduw) op een ouder laptopscherm te kijken, ik zal straks nog even checken op m'n tft.
Compo is heel goed, trouwens.

Hi Hans,
Ik had graag op die boekenmarkt gaan kijken en rondneuzen en met een lading boeken thuiskomen!
Te ver weg van uit Zuid-Limburg in een dag.
De workshop van Pozaru vind ik net iets beter,
wat lichter onder de tentzeilen!
Verder een fijne foto!

Nice captured here, a bit dark in the tan, but you have also captured the mood there. I like the bright, sunny blue sky and great sharpness of the cathedral! Nice captured my friend

Hi Hans - nicely composed photo, but indeed as you say very difficult lighting conditions. For me the image is far too dark in the lower right of the picture. I guess there are many ways of getting around this as has been pointed out by others.
The frame works well , postcard style.

This looks really dark on my screen here at home Hans, although I just LOVE how you did this! Nice control of the sky. I did a WS and did some levels! AM I crazy?? (don't answer that!) HAHA!

Hello Hans. I wish we have a book market here in Malaysia. A very good place to hang out looking for stuff for the brain :-) You have composed this shot beautifully with the stalls neatly fit in the frame.
