Tulips in tender colors. You can find these beautiful flowers in evry garden. Mine come from "de Keukenhof", a magnifent garden in the Netherlands.

magnifique fleur, très bien prise!

Nice shot! You've done very well to capture the tulip against a contrasting background of the same tulips - at the bottom where the focal tulip is dark it's against bright parts, at the top where it's brightest it's on the dark space between the other flowers. If I did anything I might be tempted to sharpen the front petal edge - it looks a little soft, but then that adds to the slightly romantic feel of the image. Very good capture :-D

Good composition with the inclusion of the tulips in the background. I like that the frontal tulip is sharper than the rest. The black background adds some depth. Has a nice soft appeal to it. Well done.

Hallo John, deze macro foto is bijzonder geslaagd van de mooie tulpen, het Keukenhof is wel heel mooi. Goed in beeld gebracht, prachtig.

A very nice result from a scan, John. I particularly like the very nice dof and the contours of the other tulips in the background giving the impression of a bouquet through one flower.
I can't say it's a colour that I find very pleasing though. But of course colours and tastes.......

Really well done both aesthetically and technically.
Adrian mentioned the soft look : what about less contrast and less saturation in order to enhance even more the pastel like mood.

Beautiful and the title really works well with this image. I like the moderate sharpness on the front tulip.

John, the DOF is very good. It allows us to focus just on that foreground tulip. The colors are very good.

Isolating just one flower in the middle of the others alwaus works very well, if it's well managed. Here, it's the case, with very good DOF, light, shades and textures. Tulips are very elegant flowers, that's well shown here.

I seem to have missed this one somewhere along the way...I'm glad i got to see it. It is very beautifull, tender and soft. It has a romtaic feeling to it. You DoF is magnificant, it makes the single tulip stand out ins agood way, and lets us see the details. Very lovely indeed John.
