After a long walk through the 'Sallandse Heuvelrug' I came up to this little path. I liked the way it zig-zagged (hopefully correct English) its way through the forrest.

I added a little contrast and saturation and sharpened it with USM and framed it

Hi Niek,

Beautiful photo!
The place seems so serene! It reminds me of Autumn, when all the leaves have that brown colour. Lovely!
I made a WS. I hope you don't mind. :)
Well done!

Constantinos

like this one the path takes you on and on.
christine.

Niek,
Great composition. English is perfect. Better than mine! :D
Funny how the path zig-zags rather than goes straight through. I have to remember its the journey, not the destination.
Keep shooting,
Aaron

HI Niek,

I like a lot this compo, very well observed! I like this zig-zagged way with no-sense. But the sense of the way is to be walked. The wood is so nice that i think when longer was the way better.

regards,

ferran

Hi Niek...
This is a pleasing composition, where all the elements are well balanced and working nicely together!
The bending path seems to take me deep into this fairytale like forest, where the ground is covered a colourful carpet of leaves...
Pleasant imege, my friend!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Good composition, Niek! I like when rules are bent to produce interesting images. A good capture!

Terrific photo!!! I like how you use the path to draw the viewer's eye into the forest. Looks very similar to a winter forest scene in my part of the world.

I like this composition with the path winding up to and through the trees. The nice colours of the leaves adds a lot to the warmth of the shot. The dark outlines of the trees add strength and contrast. Very nice one.
How do you like your Sigma 18-200mm zoom? I am thinking of maybe that one or the Sigman 70-300 to add to my new Digital Rebel. The 18-200 would be good, as it would mean not having to change the lens, but the 70-300 would give me more length and I could still use my kit lens 18-55 for general purpose and wider angle.
Thanks for visiting my photo.
Cheers Joan

Very nice composition, Niek. I like the fall colours still on the ground and the zig-zag of the trails in between the trees as if it was playing hide & seek. Nice lines created by the very straight trees. Well done!

Soo 'winter, soo 'central europe" this image, Niek. One can sense the forest waiting for spring to come. I like the brown tone because it gives this image a softness that is not yet 'in the air', since the weather is still pretty cold, isn't it? Well done and thank you for sharing this one! Cordelia

Hi Niek,
I love this shot, nice composition, POV and colours. What a beautiful place, when I see a trail like this I just want to ride my Mountain Bike!
