Another lovely one of these old houses. It looks very sociable " gesellig". En al die fietse!! The way of transport. Definitely cheaper than cars.

Nice picture, good point of view. I posted a workshop with minor modification of the size of the picture. By reducing the bottom line, the viewer can feel to be closer with or beside the foreground peoples ;)

Very lovely series of Dutch Houses, this one is very nice, with excellent perspective and composition. I usually do not like people in the shot but I think this feature in your shot is the special touch!

Well done Josine. The WS from Lybil,it takes the leadin line out and more contrast takes the soft colors out a little. You did fine as it is. Great to see how people in small scale can change the view for

Josine, what an idyllic image. I once spent three months in Holland when the Guilder was a Guilder and the Euro just a glint in some euro politician’s eye! I spent my time in a town called Grijpskerk near Groningen not too far from the boarder with Germany. Unfortunately I do not have any photographs from that period. Oh well that is the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Cheers Gazza

Hi Josine,
this photo is a good example of scene where I (wanting to photograph it) feel disoriented. I tried several times, but never succeeded - view looks too busy and I can't figure the final result. You did it perfectly - it's great scene. Peaceful, kinda lazy, pleasant, cosy. Beautifully composed with all this green and contrasting reds of the walls. Perfect mood making me want to get there immediately :-) tfs

Hi Josine,
Dat heeft absoluut wel wat - bij ons waren alle tuinen gewoon open of een draadje op 30 cm. hoogte - op die manier had je dus inderdaad met iedereen veel contact. Voor ons als kinderen was dat heerlijk.
Mooi he, als oude huizen helemaal opgeknapt worden - ziet er prima uit.
TFS dit gezellige moment (met gezellig weer).

This is a very attractive and relaxed looking place Josine. You appear to have recorded everything beautifully as well. The composition and the POV are lovely with an excellent "Lead in" left of picture. I like the colours and the sharpness too. It's the people who add to the relaxed atmosphere I think!
