[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In my town, Zoetermeer, suburb of The Hague we have many parks and its fantastic and relaxing to walk there what I often do with wife Patricia and daughter Demi.

Last Sunday I spotted this odd looking tree stump..
Like the head of a dog :-)

Bye and thanks for looking
Rob

Hi Rob.
It looks older than "Zoetermeer" itself.
Good shot, well seen.

Hi Rob,
Fine textures in that old butt!
Well framed subject, which is exposing some fine patterns created through years and years...
Lovely natural colours, but a tiny overexposure in top due to the bright sunlight...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hoi Robby
Geinig. Inderdaad net de kop van een hond met gecoupeerde oren. Prachtig, groetjes
Joos

Hi Rob, I am happy to have a new photo of yours to comment on :)

This old wood is very well spotted. I always like the forms and the textures that they have. And this one has a particular marble-like colour.

Well done! Have a great day, Yan :)

Hi Rob,

Great imagination!! A dog?? I would have thought of that! :))
Lovely close up of the tree trunk! Very nice details and POV! The DOF and lighting are also great!
Well done!

Constantinos

Hi Rob,

Good textures in the stump and well composed. As Pablo says a trifle over exposed in the upper section but still a fine shot. TFS,
David

Nice. I love wood. I'm forever picking up pieces of driftwood or shells or pebbles. A nightmare to my husband that has to try and get me home with all this stuff. Interesting shapes and textures. It looks as if it has been cut of if you look at the right side.

Hi Rob

It must be dogwood! Just kidding. It looks vaguely like the side profile of a canine that's been in too many fights, & lost its ears. Well seen & tfs!

Great capture.
Amazing the shapes and colors wood will take with age.
Pierre

Hello Rob!

May I offer you another one (*_^)
Check the WS (^_^)
Keep on shooting!
Cheers!
Robert

Hi Rob - A good presentation of the beauty of old wood with all its streamed lines and different nuances, if not colours. As a fan of wood I very much like this image. I pick up all sorts of things, too, like cleocat. My husband has stopped wondering... - cheers, Cordelia :)
PS: Thank you again for your visit of Provence, 6.

good textures in this piece...
well done there Rob

It resembles a dog or something. Nature is the greatest sculptor. One of my photos is just about the same phenomenon.

Seb

Hi Rob, its amazing to see how the wood takes texture and color with time. Nicely seen and captured. :) Vandana

Nice close-up of textures on this old stump, Rob. In our park, we have similar views. When Otti was little, I stuck my hand into one of the holes in a tree stump and yelled that a 'Pokemon' bit me: he was terrified and believes to this day that I got bit by something.
Cheers
Otto

Hello Rob,

This is an interesting motif, a brilliant subject. Various hues of wooden profile are nicely captured. Excellent luminosity. Well done.

Many thanks for sharing this image.
