Hoi Rob.
Tegenlicht; dat is lastig. Ik denk dat je met curves of misschien al met levels een boel kunt verbeteren. Het zwart is behoorlijk dichtgemaakt. Te wit is altijd fataal; zwart blijkt nog structuur te hebben als je lichter maakt.

Very nice composition with the lines of this wooden structure leading us to this resting bird with the opposing lines of the grass and the water. My only nit pick is that I would have prefered to see the focus on the bird instead of the grass in the background. otherwise an excellent photo. TFS

Hello Rob, well the gull was posing just for you! Well done on this light conditions.
But maybe the focus is soft on the wood and the gull. As I read Luc's review, it appears that the focus was set on the grass.

Well balanced composition, good space all around.

Hi Rob - Good light and details despite difficult conditions (strong backlight). Makes me want to be out there and join the bird for a rest, too. Though I'd prefer the grass along the shore. - Cheers, Cordelia :)

Geen foto's van de Rottemeren, maar wel eentje van Schoonhoven. Hier heb ik zo'n tien jaar gewoond na mijn trouwen. Een huisje vlak aan de dijk....
Over de foto, hij is op-het-randje-af scherp, goede compositie, mooi lijnen.
