[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a freight / container company, shipping goods from the port of Scheveningen (The Hague)
to England.
Soon this whole company will be moved to Vlaardingen near Rotterdam, a financial loss for Scheveningen.

Good Sunday,
Rob

Hoi Rob,

groet Frans

Impressive boat. Interesting background with the poles and network of cables. Just on the left side of the boat(from the front ) it looks like a mouth.

Hi Rob. For a moment I thought you meant that Norfolk was closing. So many of the ships that you have shown I once saw in Fremantle in Western Australia. Well composed, good colour and detail. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on 'The Climb - Cataracts'

Hi Rob,

This looks like one HUGE boat!! :))
The POV here adds a strong sense of scale. I like the framing and colours!

Well done
Constantinos

Hi Rob,
This is a nice capture of this boat with nice vertical lines And all these metallic structure. The colors and sharpness are excellent. Well done.

Hello Rob, good pov and the sides of the boat of the deck that make a natural frame that lead our eyes to the center of the pick to the main subject.

Great colours and dof. I like all the thin repetitive lines in the bg.

Well done! Yan :)

ps: thx a lot for your visit and your crit on "Equus Art". It is greatly appreciated! Sorry for the delay, I am trying to catch up.

A great picture Rob!
These Container Ships are perhaps not the most beautiful ships on the seas, (especially when they are fully loaded and at sea) but they always impress me with their size. It's indeed a pity that the move to Vlaardingen will cause such a loss.
Best wishes
Bill

Too bad, but a fact of life! I remember flying into Amsterdam on CP Air. Long gone, and it's successor went broke also.... In my time with CP, I've seen many closures. Lost a job myself once when a container terminal closed years ago.
Hope there is something to replace it in the ports economy.
Cheers
Otto

Hi Rob

I like the repetition of the subtle triangular shapes formed by the masts & rigging of the boats. Good repetition of the gulls in the water. Tfs!

When I still lived in Normandy, how much flowline between France and England stopped for financial reasons. It is often a very large loss for the uses of the city which accomodated them. This is why my choice was made on your photography.
In more than the colors are beautiful and the horizontal lines of the ferry which cross the vertical lines of the antennas of transmission.
TFS

Hi Rob,

Very intersting port scene, nicely composed and great DOF. Despite the overcast the colors are vivid and the exposure very good.

Hiya Rob,

Hope you are keeping well my friend?

Great shot here of this bright (and big) freighter starting its journey back to the UK. I like the POV you have chosen here almost giving a framed look.

Great shot and in good detail.

Regards

John

A nice shot of a departing liner. At first thought the foreground boat a little distracting but after a second look I think it helps frame the shot & adds to the photo. Well done. Don
