Hi Josie. Much to discover on these dunes. Many different flowers and grass and as you say all the little animals and birds. Nice shades of green. You are so right we sometimes miss a lot because we are not prepared to explore the unknown or the less know. Nice to see a photo again and thanks for that link to Vandana's photo. I might have missed it and it's stunning.

you right one does not take enought time to see the world around them. I see a lot more things now with my camera in my hand than before.
You captured this lovely scenery very well. Good POV, and very nice exposure. Very good composition with lovely colors and wonderful textures.

I grow up behind the Dunes of 'KIjkduin'. I never forget the 2 of Februari 1953 after the desastered Stormy night. That morning we went to see the damage on the dunes. It was very serous damaged but safed.

Thats one thing good about photography. We have to stop and look at the surroundings. Even when we dont have our camera we keep the reflex to look at things and imagine how it would look like on a picture.

Your sand dunes look very similar to ours here in Southport but I dont think we have as many colours as you do.
Your picture here shows these different greens up very well against that gorgeous blue sky.

Hi Josine,
Vroeger (^-^) mochten we in duinpannen op Texel kamperen en gaten graven om het eten koel te houden en bramen plukken en hutten bouwen onder "holle" struiken en bloemen plukken voor in onze hut. Onder onze tent lag een baal stro die wij bij de receptie afhaalden.
Als ik deze foto zie dan krijg ik weer dat heerlijk gevoel van jarenlang 6 weken kamperen op Texel met buurvrouw en buurmeisjes, tante met nichtjes en neefjes en gewoon vrienden van de camping. Vaak in de luwte en uit de wind - en zelfs ik kreeg een bruine kleur daar - droomwens: huisje in de duinen....
Heel erg bedankt voor het vastleggen en delen!

It seems like my geographical knowledge was wrong - I thought there aren't mountains in Holland. :) Great, colorful capture of the sand dune, little bit grainy, but very nice. Good to see life on it - there must be several insects in the greenery, too. Wonderful place. And the fact people avoid these dunes makes life of plants and insects easier.
There aren't mountains in Holland - while there's no sea in Hungary. Although Lake Balaton's called the "Hungarian sea" - and there's "Fuji" in The Netherlands, too. :) Tfs it.
