Do not forget to write……

I couldn’t resist to do something with the idea of Robert Calve (Perryhooter) in his “in a stamp fitted photo” which can be seen here. So yesterday evening I fiddled around with all kind of pictures to fit into the stamp. Finally I took one which is also more or less related to Robert who’s hooked on ships; the GreenPeace ship from Amsterdam the Arctic Sunrise. So what I did; I took the picture of the ship [taken at the locks of IJmuiden] uploaded it to the frame site: Framer Add selected from frame style: stamp border and copied the whole to my photo pragrame Adobe Photo Shop. There I add the text “Nederland” and “€ 0,43” (and: yes I know I should be 44 eurocent but I like a little joke to fool the Dutch Postings) resized and as Biance- always writes: Voila!

With many thanks to Robert. A tribute to his TL-portfolio! Meanwhile there is a stamp theme created which you can find here!

And....don't forget to write ;)

Greenpeace & Arctic Sunrise

Origin
Ironically, before Greenpeace chartered the Arctic Sunrise it was once a sealing vessel. Greenpeace also had previously confronted the ship while it was delivering equipment for the French government to build an airstrip through a penguin habitat in the Antarctic.

History
The hull is rounded with no keel, so that the ship lifts out of the ice instead of being crushed by it. At the end of 1996, Greenpeace had prepared the Arctic Sunrise for the icy conditions of Antarctica.

A beautiful relaunch of an idea along with an informative commentray note. Green Peace has really done a remarkable task to keep our plannet clean (as much possible). A nice tribute to a very respected TL fellow Robert. Well done my friend.

Thanks for sharing this creation.
