[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When we had just arrived at the beach in Dishoek, I noticed these calm waves glittering in the backlight. The sun was at my 10 o'clock here.

What attracted me to take the shot were the different planes in the water, with their rolling edges...

Corrected a slight tilt of the horizon.

Cropped off the empty spaces caused by the rotation.

Hey there Frank...Your photo caught my eye..
you have caught the waves rolling in well...nice and sharp too.

Well chosen frame for this one also.

Thanks for sharing
Dawn

Looks like it was a real choppy day on the sea. Nice to see the waves crashing. Good straight horizon. Well done Frank.

Very minimalistic shot, Frank! The boats on the horizon give a nice sense of space. Very nice details on the water. Zen...

Aren't the waves wonderful! I can hear the ocean looking at your picture. Is that a boat on the horizon? Anyway, nice composition and framing along with clarity.

Regards,

Jeffshepard

Een plaatje waar men blijft naar kijken
men wil het water verder zien rollen.
Steeds veranderend van kleur en vorm...

Frank, de titel herinnert me aan een reclame spot. Goed gezien en goed vastgelegd. Ömer

Hi Frank,

I know what you mean on this one as I have many of these types of photos! Each wave is always different from the previous. Always relaxing to see and hear the water. You captured you moment very well!

Well done

Hello Frank,
This is a very nice photo, I like the lines of the waves creating multiple parrallel layer in the photo with great textures and colors that we discover one after the other up to the horizon line with the boats.
greetings.
Luc

:-)

Hi Dingo

I like softness & slight motion blur of the breakers. Nice backlight & translucency of the waves. Tfs!

I like to see the open sea. Great opportunity from this photo. Nice lighting. Well done.

Hi Franck, that's a neat seascape image with the white foam on the water and the rolling waves so sharp, very well done and we see very well the ships in the far distance.

Love the colours and the pov.

Nicely done! Take care, Yan :)

ps: many thx for your review on "Golden Retriever Playing in the snow". I am pleased that you like it. Hope you forgive me for not replying sooner as I am running after time :)

Frank,
Very well captured textures here. I like the composition, and how you captured the curls on the waves. I am no crazy about frames but this one is fine. I also see a few ships on the far horizon, well done.

Hi Frank, you show some unusual wave formations in the centre here. Maybe there is a slight rip or small undertow there. Good natural colours and the waves look very swimmable - in warmer weather though.
Cheers
Janice

love the angle, a great view of something I never tire of, not too keen on the frame but hey, well done with the light and comp, thanx, M, (*_*)

Hi Frank,
I see we are in to waves lately!lol!! I like the way you split the frame with 2/3 sea and 1/3 sky. The sharpness is excellent and the detail of the waves great. You exposure is just right and the frame nice and simple.
TFS,
Vassilis
