| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
First visit to the beach in 2005. Whereas the Belgian coast is littered with ugly highrise overlooking the sea, Zeeland has only a few villages sheltering in the dunes. Apart from a few cabines that provides the lone walker with the always appreciated... coffee :-) there's little sign of "civilisation".
Against the vastness of the beach, a few remnants of brightly coloured nets stood out. Colour ? What colour ? I hear you ask...
I started to work in PS and the "graphic-pen" filter was just ideal for these textures, so... BW it will be. (I have a colour-version up the sleeve, equal but different... just abide...)
I had to resize the picture a great deal to get it within TL-limits, so the detail might be too fine to notice. Sorry for that, not my fault. |

Hi Walter, very nicely done, this B&W. I like all the different materials. Zeeland is definitely my favorite too !

Great black and white shot Walter. Looks almost infra red. The textures are beautiful and you have created a great composition with the different sized posts. Well done.
Peter
nice shot!i like the cracks in the wooden poles.the net on the grounds is well captured.well done!
You do some experiment too ... good experience indeed. i like the b&w, and your post process.
good work
Walter, I really like this. The composition is wonderfully balanced both geometrically and tonally, and there are many delicious textures to feed the eye. Your downsample was very successful, but I would love to see it in hi-res.
An image to proudly display and enjoy every day. Congratulations!
Cordially,
Don
