Hi Niek. Very moving. Good composition and I like how you left the script in colour. Gives the eye a good reference. On a personal note, my grandfather was shot down in a Halifax bomber flying out of England to a target in Belgium. He never reached the target and was lost over the Netherlands. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Niek,

I finally got over to TL. Seems it forgot me and I temporarily forgot my password. So this is the memorial. What is the symbolism of the figure? I love the way the birds (?peace doves) seem suspended in air. I like the choice of B & W with a touch of color. It's a really nice shot and well executed with a nice range of values and great sharpness. Thanks for sharing this with me and all of us.

Nicely composed, Niek. I like the B&W a lot, too. I think I was expecting one of those high-range shots with details in the white area as well as the dark area of the face!
