Close encounters in Utrecht

Yeah…today Dutch TL-meet in Utrêg [Utrecht] , Mr. Little, Aloys , Jacquelien, NINIX, Janone, Suntoucher, Loon, John Tulip (with his lovely wife and junior photograper Yolanda)Joop Schotsman and a vague person named Green Baron.

What a great day, I have to thank all of these nice members which are now friends! We started at the Central Station restaurant “De Tijd” (The Time) and after more than one hour talking we finally decided to take the route through the city. After an exhausting trip and encounter of the John Tulip we ended up in a Greek Restaurant...

After a perfect dinner we split up. I’m home now, longing for my bed (I’ve to work tomorrow) and I wish I have more energy to write a longer note.

I’m drained…but not without to say: THANKS! to my fellow Dutch TL-members who joined me today. You are the success of this wonderful event!

This picture is a starter for my Dutch TL-meet impression: Loon, waiting for the ‘Hunk’ taking his next strike :) She made so many pictures of this nice scene(she told me she was impressed of the architecture of the building), she needed after ten minutes shooting to replace her batteries ánd memory card. [of her camera your dirty mind]

Anyway we could handle it, there were some more minor hick-ups this day: Frans started with a big traffic jam, Loon spoiled about five glasses of Bitter Lemon, Janone got lost and almost missed the Greek Dinner and John Tulip, he took first a Utrecht site seeing with a taxi, before meeting the rest of the bunch.

No...just kidding my friends, it was a lovely day. Hope you enjoy this picture as wel...Boy I'm going to see my bed now.... :)

Yes it was a fantastic day, wouldn't have missed it.
Big fun we had all together.
This is a very good shot, of the Lady photographer Loon.
As a gift, also John, is in the 'picture'.

I think you did as well as you could with the equipment at your disposal!! :-)

The positioning works well here, aligning the "hunk", the photographer and the corner of the building - an interesting shot and a great memory of the meet! Well done!

Howdy Hans,
ZO dus toch nog ff een foto d'r op gegooid voordat je naar bed bent gegaan? Het was een super dag, met erg veel lol en gezelligheid. Super organisatie hoor, ik heb elk moment erg genoten.
Ik vind de over the shoulder look foto erg mooi, het geeft de foto een extra dimentie. Loon was helemaal in haar topjes toen ze deze schilder zag. Volgende keer maar een dag organiseren als het regent.

Tja, meisjes... uiteraard vond ze de architectuur mooi. Maar niet die van het gebouw hoor ;o).
Een mooie candid opname, Hans. Altijd leuk zo'n TL-meet, eind juli is er waarschijnlijk een Belgische. En als het weer dan ook nog meezit kan de lol helemaal niet meer op.

Gefeliciteert met een perfecte organisatie (hoorde ik van John ) en Utrecht staat nu ook op mijn lijst van dingen 'to do !
Ook de foto is erg leuk, over de schouder van een ander, plus John in het steegje (gelukkig staat 'ie niet te sassen, doen oude mannetjes wel eens ..grinnik grinnik ) Ok Hans, dik voor elkaar m'n jong!

Hoi Hans, hele leuke 'drie dubbel ' opname,
Wat 'Loon' ziet en daardoor jij plus onze John in het steegje, heel sterk. Leuk dat het allemaal een sucses was. Mischien ik ook een andere keer, nu even te veel aan mijn hoofd.
