[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When I uploaded this photo and started to think about what I would write with it, I noticed that I almost don't have a photo that has evindence that I visited the TL meeting in Utrecht. I think I've got one or two photos that show the sights that make the city. And only a few good photos of a fellow TL member. But, I do have the fond memories that will last a life time.

The way the canals in Utrecht are build is that there is a low quay and a high quay. Exiting the low quays are the cellars of the houses along the canal. In the past these quays were used to unload the boats and transport the goods directly into the cellar of the shop or trading company. Nowadays these cellars are converted to bars, restaurants and extentions of the houses. The lower quays are now used as terraces for the restaurants and bars or as a privat hide away from the fast city life. I found this abondoned table and chair at one of those privat unperceived spots.

Tech talk: Shot in RAW, small crop and white balance adjustment. Converted to JPEG. Levels, and saturation, USM, frame, resize and USM.

`Hi Niek,

Yes this is the evidence. I reconise the table and chair so you were there ;=)
I notisewd that you are one of the most pictured trekmember on the Greenday tour.
Maybe you were just a step ahead of us with your knownledge about the technics.

At least you stood every time for somebody else his camera! ;=0))

Take care and show us your other shots.

Hendrik

Good comp & great lines in this. Good shot of you that Hans took too. Must ahve been nice getting together with everyone.

Niek,
great diagonal line!
Daniel

What shall I say about this .... I recognize a lot in the story of Ninix. And, yes, a great diagonal line. :-)
The color is very good. But. Because there is no green in it, I subtract 1 point. ;-)
greetings,
Joop

Hi Niek:
I am so glad the John posted that iamge that show you all:) So I dont need an evidance from your photo:)
And so my take is that it is an excellent abstarct Mr. Niek (and my mother's maiden name is Bowen-a difference by a letter but same sound), and I can put a face together by it!
Regards
David

Lovely composition and textures here.
The simplicity of the shot draws the eye to study the subtle patterns of shadow and sunlight, a subtext to the more dominant table-and-chair.
Very nice work indeed

Hello Niek.
Ik dacht even dat je bij Leen Bakker was geweest. lol
Het ziet er still en verlaten uit, zou je niet zeggen op 'onze' zaterdag meet. Het was druk zat, volgens mij wisten ze dat 'we' er waren.
Apart plaatje. Well done.
Jan

nicely captured and well presented. good geometry all around. the lines of the table and the brick sidewalk lead you into the photo with the curve of the chair leading you back to the top and around again.
