Nice shot Rob.
Like the composition with the diagonal line of the wire very much and the pose of the bird is lovely.
Pity there is so much color noise in the image wich does distract a little and due to that the image does not lokk as sharp as it should be.

Rob I think (knowing your gear) you did this with a simple standard lens and had to enlarge /zoom digital.*Enlarged inside the photo* and that way you always get some grain, nevertheless, a job well performed! First steps to be a bird man :-) Groet

Hij vroeg er dus gewoon om, om geschoten te worden Rob; stel je gerust voor die ene mooie bird foto hebben de echte natuur fotografen dagen achteréén lopen wachten en zoeken heb ik gehoord. Zou het wat zijn om die proverbs te plaatsen - er is een hele website van - ben echter vergeten hoe die heet - er zijn zoveel tips en zoveel mensen op TL, is haast niet bij te benen voor little old me.

Of course there will be some grains, but the diagonal wire and the pose of the sparrow is beautiful...

Oh well.. no use complaining, besides if we are to believe the forecasts we will have some nice weather by the end of next week... and guess what???
I'll be leaving for a 2 week vacation... to Norway!

now.. about this little sparrow, he is really cute.
I love sparrows, they are one of my favorite birds.
I really like your composition here and the colors are nice and realistic.

Shalom Rob. An excellent diagonal and the bird looks good centred like that. For a distance of a metre I think that maybe the settings on the camera were wrong hence all the noise? TFS,
