This spider as it was waiting and moving around on a piece of wood is of the family: Nachtkaardespinnen or Amaurobiidae. Also known as tangled nest spiders
or night spiders.

As the name says these kind of spiders are only active in the night. They have a shelter in holes in trees or men made constructions... I love the color above his cheeks!

wonderful shot - I like to see this spider from the front showing us her big teeth.
I also love to make shots of insects, also had a spider here some weeks ago.

even if to me it looks more like "ready to atack" :P the photo is great :) it's a very succesful close-up withe great details and colors.
