Were did I see this before? :-)

Excellent nocturnal view of Zandvoort, well captured, with the moonlight trying to protrude through the clouds. It gives the piscture a special mood.

Just my curiosity to ask meaning of your TL's name Wishnu Garuda . . In Indonesia, Garuda is a kind of eagle, and symbol of my country, while Wishnu is a Hindhuism God . . and there is a huge sculpture that presented both Wishnu on Garuda in Bali . .

Good control of exposure has captured all the detail in this seaside town at night. Particularly like the details in the clouds (the glow of orange in the background and the cloud picked out in white - was the moon behind it?)

Hallo Sabine,
letztes Jahr hatten wir auch eien Woche in Nord Holland. Ich kann das nur bestätigen. Die Einheimischen dort waren alle sehr nett und nahmen di eInvasion aus Deutschland gelassen.
Die Strände waren im Vergleich zu Belgien und Deutschland auch prima und die Städte drumherum absolut sehenswert.
Zandvort Beach sieht ein Bisserl zugebaut aus ;-) aber das Bild mit dem Mondbeschienen Himmel ist klasse.

Great shot/composition/POV.
Strong visual impact (my opinion) because of the orange shining over the horison (caused by agricultural glasshouses??), the dark sky with moonshine on the clouds, the reflexion of the moonlight on the sea.

Hello SAbine,

I missed some beauties recently , working a bit too much ! Beside being a well known place for many Dutch members , I have to say , this is a real nice shot . You choose the perfect time to capture this shot with the moon hidden behind a cloud. The image is better balanced, the cloudy sky is clear and well detailed with a cool cloudy sky while the city is sharp and clear with its warm golden tones and colors.
great composition overall !
