[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Crane, now and then

When I crossed one of Holland’s large rivers and had to wait a moment for two of these cranes has to pass the road, I took this picture.

When I uploaded them into the computer I remembered that I a few years ago had used this picture that didn’t exist than.

I looked for the painting in my archive and made a picture of it.

Now you can look at a “Picture of the Past” and in the workshop at a "Painting of the future"

It could be an interesting geometrical construction you show here. But unfortunately I dont consider this to be very esthetic. But it is a metter of opinion....

Wow! That is pretty amazing! You already had made a painting about something that you had never seen... But it's true! It's actually very similar to your painting. And what a surprise, I didn't know you painted too. We have another thing in common besides photography ;-)

Spooky!Really strange!A dejá-vu?A premonition?
I think dormoy didn't understand the note you've written...it's true that the photo is not very pretty and bla bla bla...but the story you tell us here..the painting...Amazing!

belle perspective de l'image!
belle structure!
bon contraste et couleurs.
bye....tanbinh.

Hi Rob,
well.. now we know who is behind the twilight zone!! it's you ;o)
Amazing that you can paint something that will exist in the future... Really impressive.
The acryl is very good and when we compare it with the shot.. something cold runs through my spine!!!
Congrats!
Marisa

PS: maybe is the effect of being part of the Glass Spaceship !!

Hoi Rob,

Dit is een goede foto met al die lijnen. Je geeft hier de details van de kraan goed weer.

I never got to say how much this story puzzled me. But I believe you. I guess a shrink would say that the shapes you painted years ago were engraved on your mind, and when you then came across them in real life, you took the photo without thinking. And quite honestly, I can't think of any other reason for taking that photo. But the shapes and the two prime colours are nice. So it all come together in life and art.

Hi Rob

I like the color contrast between the blue sky & yellow crane. Good sharpness & graphism. Well done!
