No, this is NOT the Redlight District of Amsterdam!
Window-underwear shop Dolls in Gauda on 1th floor

First off all: JOHN-TULIP.. congratulations with 30.000 points today! Great job man, 10.000 each half year

Once I read Magda Indigo saying she was the first to end up that score of 30.000, well there's 2 now.

Than, together with Johns help I installed PhotoShopCS3
and again John helped me do this photo.

Chain reaction:
Vandana2923 and Jose from France(Johns Bro in law) are both very good in PhotoShop and they both set up a basic program for John.

In his turn, John is teaching me, even Patricia my wife has intrest (maybe she will be on Treklens too soon):-)

We did some colour -sharpness ajustment, but John had me started with horizontal and vertical corrections

That is like this:
Load your photo and go to :View>> Rulers
put your mouse in the horizontal ruler and drag it in to the photo , than a second
Do the same with vertical 2x
Than go to Edit>Transform>disort
start fiddeling around and when happy dubble click

To remove the rulers go to View>> Clear guides

Your background layer has now however be cahnged to layer1 and to set back to Background layer:
Go to : Layer >> Layer from Background

Hope I did not start migraine attacks, but this is a little part of PhotoShop :-)

So people .. maybe not perfect , this photo, but i am on my way

And John, again congratulations , we will grab a beer soon

Rob

One of John's proverbs:

When it rains in September ,

it will be Xmas in December

Prettige avond

Hi!

Great composition! I like the colours and theconstituin of the wall... but you should take photos at too woman´s without closes... or almost!!! Great work!

Ana

....no red light district (unless you have very strange tastes!)
About PS: no idea how CS3 works. I got Adobe 7 and Elements 3, each different, yet compatible. Depending how I feel like, the former is more challenging, the later is easier to use. Each has some features that are missing on the other. (ex: can't do animated GIF on Adobe 7, whereas no history brush on Elements 3). Both accept the plug-in filters I added.
Cheers
Otto

Rob, klasse
Sure we both have not pentrated the highest skills of photoshop but we are on our way! Good work buddy and good to see you even posted the ''tricks'' in the note.
Thanks

Well done Rob, good symety of the window in the wall. Nice view of the mannequins.

And the best class for Photoshop is at www.radiantvista.com. Learn how to do the workbenchs. And it is free! Since a year and a half that I am learning Photoshop there and now I know it inside-out now.

Well done! Yan :)

ps: and many thx for the kind words in : "Stream in Slow Motion and Water, Ice and Stone".

Peeping Tom!! Good shot Rob, the ladies are posing just for you.
And thank you for your helpful tips with Photoshop. The horizontals and verticals are very important - they can make or break your image - so well done
Janice

Hi Rob,
Not the red light district? What a pity. :)
Thank You very much for the informative note / lesson. About the photo: the compo's great, but by my opinion too bright. Probably it's a kind of personal taste, because everyone else liked the image as it is, but for my taste either the exposure time was too long or You gave too much brightness with the software. Did WS, hope You don't mind.
Have a nice weekend, cheerz, László

Hello Rob,
A first sight in thumbnail, I thought you might have been up to a bit of part-time voyeurism here! However, on closer inspecton, I see that you have created a very amusing, clever and interesting photograph. I congratulate you on the excellent composition and POV and I especially like the reflection of the building in the background. Your note on the photoshop is very interesting too, I wish I had skill with it!
Well done!
Best wishes
Bill
PS: I also see that I have some catching up to do regarding your recent postings!

Well presented in the vertical format Rob. Possibly a wee bit pale on the colour side but who knows what sort of light you had on offer. Good detail and well framed. TFS,
David
