Stairway To Heaven
by Led Zeppelin

There’s a lady who’s sure
All that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she’s buying a stairway to heaven.

There’s a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook
There’s a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There’s a feeling I get
When I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who standing looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And its whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.

If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow
Don’t be alarmed now,
Its just a spring clean for the may queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There’s still time to change the road you’re on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it wont go
In case you don’t know,
The pipers calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow,
And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.

And she’s buying a stairway to heaven.

Hi, Rob!

I adore the Led Zeppelin. :-) Excellent idea, beautiful realisation. Creative, interesting!

Ildiko

The PP work is ok- it is really obvious though.
Good BG picture.

Well, it is eye catching and imaginative---another art form to be sure but well presented and technically well done---I really love seeing people stretch themselves---Lynne

Hello Rob,
Interesting intro with the poem and don't you just love Robert Plant's guitar solo on this composition.
Well executed PP with fine artistic work to create this wonderful image. The heavenly sky is carefully selected for the backdrop. I like it.
Regards,
Jusni

Hi Rob! I am sorry but I do not like this picture. It is technicly well done but you used part of the work of the artist Dolores Zorreguieta called "Wounds" which was shown at the Cobra Museum.I understand that she ie a kind of sculptor and that you took a picture of her work and made a new creation out of it but is it acceptable? What about the copyright? And I do not like her work anyway,I find most of her creations disgusting and ugly! I still enjoy your creativity and your artistic skills but I cannot rate this one.Best regards!

Hi Ron,

Groeten,
Lars

Hi Rob, creative composition and pp, fine contrats of colours, well framed too. A good tribute to Led Zeppelin!
Ciao, Cinzia

So it's look like that finally that stairway!? Probably it's the reason why they say it's hard to go to heaven... We have to be in shape!
Me who imagine we have a least an electric escalator!
I enjoy your play! Original! So i imagine anyone could take that stair. As we are going to heaven, we will be some immigrants and wi will be invited to sing the Immigrant Song!

Well the last phrase have a logic meaning with the band that is mentioned...

Hi Rob :)

Excellent PP work ! Creative artwork with excellent note :o) Led Zep ! Of course ...
I hope the sky would be like that when we go up to heaven :o)
Greetings and thanks for your nice comment on my shot.
Marylou
