Two tulips
A photo of my friend John van Aarle ;AKA * John Tulip*
Practising here with camera's , lenses and Photo Shop
with Johns help.

I made this photo of John in my home and made the background neutral, than tried to paste my head into the scene (lens) , however its a bit deformed,my normal face is less round [*_*]

Than I read in critiques here in Treklens that annie in Quebec *beger* has become a Grandmother!
Congratulations to you and your husband Annie!

Nice work, Rob. Subtle on the backdrop... meaning John's hair didn't suffer ;o)). A bit of burn brush around the inserted 'you' would improve the "blend", especially on your hair.

Hello Rob,

A beautiful double portrait in which Sir John Tulip are looking as pleasent as he really his and your smile is really nice. This picture reminds me one of my workshops given on the picture but deleted along with all shots. Anyways, I appreciate your postprocessing. Excellent composition, well done.

Hi Rob,
The dutch connexion in action! Good idea for a new CIA poster. Nice PP work despite the lack in background and on the hair of John! Finally a man who complains about the deformation of the lenses. All the women will say to you, that they are thinner in person!

Thanks for your congratulations about my new state of grandmother! My first grandson was born the same day of my birthday! What a beautiful gift!

Annie

Great portraits and good pp work. Love the framing job and the neutral bg. TFS

ps next time try the history brush to go back into his hair...;)

Hi Rob
Interesting technique and original setting. Just one problem. I suppose John is holding a camera but his hands hide it so he could be holding a circular mirror.
as for the maiden, I don't even know her name. Too bad.

Hallo Rob.
Hartstikke leuk gedaan.

Hey you - tough guys - Rob you should have pasted in a non-smiling picture of yourself -

Wacht vol spanning op the Men-in-Black!

Hello Rob,

Deformed head..LOL. Yes, you are popping out of lens a bit. Hehe.

Great shot, Rob!
And the PP work is perfect. It could as easily have been you that he was taking a picture of!
Excellent idea and double portrait -- though John looks like he should be in an identification line-up
:D

Finally we get to see John come out of hiding from under his camera with a look of such determintation.
Very good composition with great PP.
And as far as your face being round you still look pretty handsome to me, and I'm an old timer.

Hi Rob.

I am back again, vacation and a little trip to a hospital have kept me away from TL and your great photos. And what are you forcing me to look at, mr. Tulip and his Canon.
Once again you have created a real good work, wonderful colors, a funny shot, great presentation, my compliments.
Nice to be back and to enjoy your photos again.

Best regards

I meant to go to this one a few times already, Rob: To complete the illusion, you'd have to change the reflection in the suntglasses too! John looks very serious, as if on an important mission!
