I love the detail of the ornament against the brick. My personal choice would be to either include the full streetlamp, or not include it at all. Perhaps just the ornament with the brick creating a border leavning the bottom half of the image as brick.

I notice that they must have used the V for U .. right ?
The half landpost is a good choice , it underlines the main subject

Great timing capturing it with light from right side, and still seeing the detail of the parts are in shadow . .
It's a double brick wall, I've seen this kind of structure by putting combination double bricks and single crossing brick after one layer to another . .
Great design of the ornament . .
Beautifully composed with partial stret lamp to show how old is this environment . . and must be beautiful seeing this ornament with light from this lamp . .
