Lijkt me geen probleem die donkere veren tegen de donkere achtergrond.
Prachtige foto.
Glad you could enlighten us about the family life of mum and dad stork ^-^.
Most of the time storks are sitting high up on a nest in the sky.
How come you got such a great POV?

Oei, Ik zie een beetje OE. Op alle twee nog wel. en dat terwijl jij daar altijd zo op let, Hans.!
Cant have it all. Good looking picture of this couple in love.
Het zwart komt op mijn scherm goed los van de achtergrond, dus geen probleem.

This is cool Hans.. showing good details. Pitty that the background shows so much detail too... Idealy it would be more like a blue sky, but then again.. this is Artis... ;-)

we say that in the beginning of the season if you first see the stork landed you wil not travel a lot..other vise is vice verca.
i can see all the details of the feathers ..super sharp and vivid..thanks fs..

Hello Hans,

We just can't help being anthropomorphic about such scenes! It is so tender and touching!

Fabulous details and very nicely composed.
Just a tad oe on the white but that in no way detracts from the overall effect. I think the tail feathers show up well enough!

Great details and colours, although a little over exposed (slightly burnt out in the feathers). The winner for me though is the POV you've used to compose the shot and get both birds in - great stuff

Hans, I disagree: on my screen the black feathers of the bird really stand out against the backdrop, there's not a single spot where they blend... If you click on the calibration check link on the bottom of this page, can you distinguish the 2 leftmost blocks?
This really is a beauty. How did you get on their height, or was this nest built near the ground? (that would be weird imo).
Excellent sharpness and beautiful details. Nice birds too, aren't they?

Dat het in de dierentuin is doet niets af aan hoe mooi deze plaat is. Prachtig!! De veren tegen de achtergrond vallen mij heel erg mee. Nog best aardig te zien. Lekker scherp de hele plaat met goede achtergrond blur. Mooi!
