Yellow sea

This happened behind my apartment when I can home this afternoon. A swan ploughed through a yellow sea of buttercups and dandelions.
Grabbed my camera, put it on a tripod and made some shots. Unfortunately there was quite some wind so the flowers appears not to sharp. Anyway I wished to show this to you, my backyard view :-)

PP work:
Shot in RAW. Cropped adjusted brightness and contrast minor. Converted to JPEG, resized and sharpened using unsharping mask. Add frame and text.

Hallo Hans,

Groetjes Simone

wow, hans, you have an amazing backyard! :-) the buttercups and dandelions themselves are great, but the swan is of course the
cream on top of the cake - where did he come from? do you have a pond near you? wonderful capture & best wishes, thor.

Hallo Hans,
Toller Bildaufbau, gut eingerahmt...perfekte Kompo.

Gruß,
Chris

Jan

Not one of your best but not bad.
And it's not easy getting the right size for TL with a photo with so much detail.
But seeing that swan in all that grass is really funny.

Piet.

not very sharp, indeed, and i would like to see it more closer,
BTW a very interesting subject

Hello Hans,
Good using of thirds rule.
Really, I see as if a swan swims at a yellow sea. Nice creativitiy...

Mooie plaat.

What a nice capture. I like the swan beiing off centre among this paradise of spring colors and vegetation
well done
Argiris

WOW what a nice backyard! Really pretty and a neat sight to see! I guess he was heading toward the water. It's ok if the flowers are blurred, I can see "motion" I like it!

Hello Hans,

Perfect composed and presented photo. I like very much the look of the swan surrounded by green and yellow. The wind effect look even good. TFS
Sorina

A scene from a fairytale perhaps? In our neck of the woods, we are not quite there yet (full blown spring).
Cheers
Otto

I am glad I read the notes first Hans, the bird itself may not be sharp but the effect on the grass and flowers is one of oversharpness (with the wind). White swans are a novelty down this way so I always enjoy seeing them. TFS,
David

Very beautiful. I'm glad you have such a backyard.
The moving flowers gives it a special effect so it doesn't feel irritating.
