Thank you very much for the compliments Jan. LOvely colours in the image which has been well composed. Good repetitions and I particularly like the detail in the shaded distance. Well cropped and framed and nice to see that even in the Netherlands each post has a bird.

Fantastisch Jan - inderdaad die speciale sfeer, net ald David die vaak weet vast te leggen. Waarom is deze zo lang in het archief blijven liggen - je hebt gewoon teveel goede foto's. Wat leuk dat je al die vogels voor je liet poseren.

I could not guess what exactly this was, but I had to enlarge it because I admire David Grumprich too. And it was until I opened it, that I could appreciate this beautiful, peaceful, scene. Lovely tones of colors. TFS

I'm not a morning person myself, but images like this are definitely worth to get up early in the morning. Those birds sitting on the posts are incredible. It's as if they're glued there, as a permanent part of the scenery. :)))

nice two tone colors.not much elements but effective in composition.good sharpness present all elements and texture very well.the strong vertical lines of pole and boat with horizontal line from water surface gives good sense of calm and silence as you say.I like bird on each pole,they make this shot more lovely :)
