Erg leuk die compilage van de trouwfoto's Els...
heel sfeervol.

Verder vind ik de sfeer op deze foto ook prachtig. Aan het water is duidelijk te zien, dat je een langere sluitertijd hebt gebruikt, maar dat is absoluut niet terug te zien in de schepen.
Prachtige details en mooi scherp!
Ook de matte reflecties op het water zijn heel mooi. Al met al een schitterende plaat hoor!
Je hebt er behoorlijk wat plezier in zo te zien!

Het water is voor mij wat te veel 'bevroren' lijkt wel of de netten vastzitten.
1 seconde ? had misschien een halve mogen zijn ?

Great subtle colors give this one a dreamy feel.
The soft milky blue sea makes a gentle contrast to the varying blue sky. The drying nets of these big fishing vessels look mythical in this low evening light.

Nice! Good use of the little bit of existing light and all the artificial lights are not too much exposed. Love the compo with the rope ending up in the middle and the 2 seconds creating that soft waters feel.

Op deze manier gepresenteerd is het een erg mooie sfeerplaat ! Bijna niet-nederlands.

Daniel's advise is the best, his work is IMPRESSIVE. An he has you on the right track. The water must have been very still because I son't detect any motion in the FG boat with a 2 sec shutter. The lighting in this image is perfectly captured.

I really like the cold colours (almost monochromatic) in this one, Els. Nice compo too, of course, and exposure is spot on.
I also like the ws image, the one in the bottom right would be a worthy post on TL IMO ☺^☺.

P.S. regarding night photography I find you cannot really trust the light meter of the camera. I usually look at what speed it suggests (always use aperture priority, then I switch to manual and take half of the suggested speed...

The blue hour is shown in this blue theme although I think your light at this hour is still bright for 2s shutter. Very good note for this post. The fishing net is shown nicely in this composition.

This has been an interesting and very worthwhile experiment! I'm sure that having achieved such success, you will trying this again! As you say, Daniel is such an inspiration for nighttime photographers!

The blue has a calming effect, there are patches of light for our eyes to find, the water is as smooth as ice and the composition is just great!

Thank you for your good wishes regarding my trip. I went with the children to Manchester Airport to investigate aeroplanes, and related occupations.

Despite the miserable weather - we were wet just reaching the coach - we had an interesting and enjoyable day. We went onto the flight deck (the children were dressed up as captain and flight officer, or air stewards) and pretended to control the plane during take-off! We also saw Concorde and a variety of other planes. We saw many planes land or take-off!

I love the blue tones here Els. The advice Daniel gave obviously was good and you listened well. The details are sharp and the composition is really lovley. For some reason the tow line off the bow niggles at me. Excellent shot.

Being that blue is my favorite color, I really like this photo! The scent of the salt air, the blue of the sky and water, and the warm lights of the boats. What a relaxing scene.
