[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Not a photoshop trick. This scene happens several times daily on Maho Beach and has been photographed many times.

Land is limited on the tiny Caribbean Island of Saint Martin so planes must fly low for landing. The people on the beach seem to love the thrill of a low flying Jetliner coming in for a landing. It seems to be comparable to a ride at Disney World.

Hello Rob!

One of the most spectacular and famous beach of the world (^_^). Not for its tranquility and beauty obvuiously.

Sweet capture and timing. the red umbrellas are adding even more pnch to this sharp scene. Excellent idea to keep a panoramic format for this one.
Well done !
Robert

i must confess i thought 'photoshop' before i read the note! the photo is nicely timed with good colours and detail - very interesting!

ciao!
I would love one day to stay there and wait for a 747 landing!!! ...even though i wouldn't stay on that beach all day long!:) As flight attendant i can only appreciate your image!
Best regards,
Angelo

Hi Rob,

Tricia Treen also made the same picture with an AA plane ready for landing. It indeed provides a thrill - if it is healthy I don't know.
Lovely moment in red, white and blue captured here in the Netherlands...

Beautiful portrait, nice colours and good sharpness.

Rob,
This is a classical! I'm astounished with the size of the girls bikini on the beach. They are huge (for Brazilian standards).
