Sailing From A Different Point Of View
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This one was taken some time ago with my compact digital camera somewhere on the Ijsselmeer.
I was on board of an old traditional sailing ship that was around 100 years old. I was lying on my back on the deck, relaxing and enjoying the silence [I was there with one of my classes and I can tell you, moments of silence are rare enough on classtrips ;-)].
There was no wind, we drifted for several hours before using the ships engine to get to the next harbour for the night. By then I had a pretty good sunburn...
Coming back to this shot: as I said above I was lying flat on my back when taking this. The sun was behind the main sail. I was impressed by the tall mast and tried to capture this impression in this shot.
PP: cloned out the top of another mast on the left; added borders and sharpened once.
Have a nice week. Regards, Britta |

Hallo Britta,
tolle Perspektive.
Thomas
