[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After a long day sailing on the Eijsselmeer in the Netherlands these two young men were enjoying the evening in the harbour of Makkum. The one in front was watching the docking manoeuvre of another ship, the one in the background was watching people walking past our ship on the landside. All of us on board of our ship were waiting for a barbecue to start. And I can say that it was a fantastic day and a fantastic evening.
Both young men belonged to one of my classes I made a classtrip with to the Netherlands.
Why I like this shot? I never saw these two that relaxed before. And I liked the effect of the sunlight behind the face of the one in front.

PP: used filters in photoscape to clear the look of the skin; added a yellowish spotlight in ulead express as the sky was too bright in the original shot; added a vignette in photoscape; in PaintShop adjusted brightness and contrast, sharpened, added borders, put into jpg, resized and sharpened.

Thanks for having a look. Regards, Britta

Hallo Britta,
