[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'd like to show you another view from an old traditional sailing ship over the Wadden Sea.

I was sitting on deck and watching the sunset while everywhere around the ship children played and laughed. I really enjoyed the scenery.

The sky looked like being created by an artist using pastel colours in light and dark tones. Most of all I liked the golden effect of the light and tried to capture it.

I found it difficult to capture the great clouds and the various tones of the light without getting the sun only as a bright white spot. But without the sun this image doesn't / didn't work.

M_A_C_R_O asked me after my last post if I could show the scenery without having used a polariser. Here it is.
I hope you like it.

Did I mention that it was cold? Felt like freezing although it must have been 5° or a bit more. I was shivering... and ruined some shots. So I really hope that this one is worth to be my 100st post here on TL.

Hi Britta,
ich gratuliere zum 100sten post auf TL!
Mmh - ohne Polfilter. Die Farben gefallen mir eindeutig besser als beim letzen post. Sieht natürlicher aus.
Ohne den Filter hast du mehr Reflektionen und der ganz helle Bereich ist hart an der Grenze zu OE. Der Horizont hat eine feine Linie und der schmale Streifen Orange genau darüber gibt unheimlich Tiefe. Ich hätte die Sonne ein wenig mehr zur Bildmitte gerückt. Sind das rechts der Mitte am Horizont Halligen? Ein wirklich romantisches Bild. (Zum Glück hats keinen Ton)
Gruss aus dem verflxt.. kühlen Süden. Wind wie am Meer hier.

de kleuren zijn zeer soft of pastel, en dat geef en zeer zachte sfeer aan de foto

Beautifully saturated, serene and above all, natural colours. This is a perfect proof that no HDR is needed to make a photograph look wonderful :-)

Hallo Britta,ich finde das einn sehr exelentes moment,special die luft is grosartig,feilicht ein bischen mehr contrast and sharf.
