The habor and the tree

Here a view on the little harbor of Hoorn with on the left side the Hoofdtoren (Main tower). The nice tree stand firmly against the stunning blue sky. Took this picture on Queensday, that dat which ended so sadly.

Used perspective crop to straighten the vertical lines. Due to this the EXIF data was lost, so below the original data.

Hi Hans

A fine harbourside scene, with good pp work & excllent colour & sharpness. The people add scale & context. The clocktower at left provides a superb focal point. Tfs!

That day did end very sadly - It made the news in NZ, and I did think of all my Dutch friends...
Your harbours and buildings are so different from NZ.
And what a beautiful day this is Hansie - and you show it odd very well
Janice

What a stunning day it must have been, so clear and bright. Amazing tower, such a different structure. The buildings in the background are so majestic. Wonderful photo.

Hoi Hans,

Adri

Stunning Hans, A very colourful and interesting harbour scene with amazing buildings and clock tower. Your weather looks great-in contrast to our grey wet days!
Cheers, Pat.

This looks better now Hans - nice POV, sharp and well saturated colour..

Cheers
David

Hans, when I first looked at this I thought it wasn't very sharp, but went to get my glasses, and voila .. now it looks fine!! (that's what happens once you're 25:)
Looks like a fantastic day. Love the cloudless blue sky and the tower and huge tree against it. Great architecture in your little country too. Some day I will visit there again!
Have a nice weekend Hans
Trudy

Gr.,
Anneke

Hi Hans,

This composition has a magical air about it; Sharp, colorful and a perfect POV. The architecture is very interesting. It is a shame that the day ended with such a sad note. TFS

Regards,
Werner

Mooie opname hoor !

merhaba dear hans ...
I have always wondered Netherlands, beautiful places, especially if your lens Another is when the exit is nice ... Greetings

Fantastic photo Hans. Extremely well composed, the tree on the right looks great, perfect shot for the theme. Love the deep blue sky, I had a proper chance to test out my CPL yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. Such a clear and rich capture, the boat's mast really helps to put the tree into perspective. Well taken.

TFS,
Scott.

Hallo Hans,

Groetjes, Marga

The blue sky in this is stunning Hansie! Top sharpness, really cool work here, rich colors! Hey when you coming to Texas??
