[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Omaha Beach was the code name for one of the principal landing points of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France in the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, during World War II. The beach was located on the northern coast of France, facing the English Channel.

exquisite photo. good luck on TL> Janos

Good photo of this piece of artwork - sharp details, a balanced composition and the frame works well. I'm a little confused by the note however - how does an art installation on a beach in Norway relate to Omaha beach in France?
Thanks for sharing
Mark

hello Eda

Welcome 'back' to TL. You were here before?

This is a great shot of the beach and the steel artwork of knieves and swords. Perhaps it would be better to avoid crop at the left side?

If this is not Norway, you can go to MANAGE/EDIT and change it.

This is nice 1st post entry and hope to see more sharing from you.

tf, bill

Eda,
Very wonderful tribute of Omaha Beach!
I want to visit this memorial one day...but it's very far from my home.
I do wish you'd have stepped back a step or two but nevertheless, this is a nice photo!
Good Point of view and pretty decent exposure!
Welcome to TL... ;)

Hi Eda. Unique sculpture at the beach captured in good sharp details. I like the framing with the sea and distant horizon here. Very good returning post and TFS. Best regards. Jusni

Hello Eda,
A photo of a piece of art not always is a piece of art in itself, but you managed it all right ;o).
I think your picture delicately renders this strongly symbolic sculpture. The soft colours, the way the water smoothly "embraces" the metal (?) structures, as well as the not too low point of view create a kind of "respectful" distance.
Well seen and well carried out...
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

Congrats on such beautiful shot Eda, very good POV, TFS.
