[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Pls. meet my second car, digitally remixed with a plaster effect. I had this car in the middle of the sixties, well used, but still a grand experience.

You can also see the original pix in my WS. Shot with a Kodak box camera.

Yes, for me the ability to make a "new" pix by digital remastering is very interesting. And very much in my liking, still the platform is the original photo.

Maybe not everybody like this. but then new techs. is always discussed. I:E Is there any difference if I splash water on a window and then make a picture "Through my window" or if I made the same pix digitally?

Some of the most evaluated pixes on the neighboor channel TE is represented by total digitally changed pixes. Look and you will find..

Be welcome to make your comment here, or open a discussion in the forums.

For those who want to say something pro or contra to the pix itself you ar heartly welcome to leave your critique here - as you opened the thumbnail anyway ;-)

I like this very, very much. The results achieved are great. It looks like a printing plate. I like the original also. Both are great. Did you do this in photoshop?

This is the artistical part of the photography, Jack. Supported by all the possibilities of the technic from today.
But I'm a bit conservativ, for me a photo should be still a timeslice, a document about a passed moment, with so the reallity as the feelings of the moment.
And altough, even if I don't play with them - maybe because I don't have the feeling for it - I'm open for this kind of photography, art-photography, enjoy them, and couldn't stop with ohs, ahs, wows, when I see a good one - as now at yours.
Very very well done

I'm also curious to see the critiques and discussions about

I like this minimalist effect you've used, the purple tones and the etching style give this a 3D feel- i want to touch the screen! A stylish, clever use of adobe. Nice creation.

Interesting use of this effect Jack...by squinting your eyes you can see the old car popping out of the screen from the distant past :-)

Yeeees..as I opened the thumbnail, I saw a very creative image with a plaster effect you applied Jack! :-) Seems today we both are in the same mood - I just did it too...:-D
The result here is really fantastic and very artistic one. I like it very much!

It looks very minimalist, but I am strangely drawn to the result. It has an appealing 3D quality, and it's interesting to see how just the darkest and most contrasting parts of your original shot have "survived" and made it into this (I particularly like the two huts in the upper left corner, the right one almost looks like Asian calligraphy). Nice idea, Jack.

Very artistic - It seams to be driving/floating through the air. Even the holes - the car seams to be complete - a trick of the eye - thanks for sharing this work Jack - lots of things to be tryed in the future ;-)

I like this effect, especially the radiant shades of blue. Very creatively done.

Bonne idée, bel effet ! C'est quoi le petit cube gris à droite de l'image ?

The creativity has no limits now with the digital process of the picture. I think we will see some very special picture on this we site. Yours is the first, but not the last. Thanks to open the door.
Well done Jack

Using this embossed effect, sure make it looked 3D here.As if the car is "coming" out.

Hello Jack, I love this filter and I have used it in one of my photos posted here. And it goes very well with your subject. The car seems to be floating on ice or water. :)

Very well done. Cheers, Yan
