Night to 7. september 2008: There was a fire in Sandviken, Bergen. I could still smell the air in the morning when i was driving through the city.
What we are seeing here is the fire where four "sjøboder" were lost. The number of "sjøboder" in Bergen has decreased a lot the last fifty years. This was taken in the afternoon, when most of the action was over.
The photo is supposed to be sad, and the fire is probably tent on by a pyromaniac. There was a new fire in Sandviken just one week after this, but nothing after that. It's now decided that they will be re-built, but it will never be the same.
