***edit***. after upload i'm not as happy with this then I was in photoscape... but I'm not going to delete it as I would like to learn my mistakes.. if anyone wishes the origional I'll send or ws is greatly appreciated***edit***

Another shot of my daily outings around Berger, Norway.....

I've had this shot in edit for the last 7 months.. Never really happy with it.. Then I figured what better way to get feed back then posting it on a photo site that was made to TEACH US....

I love the way the blue stands out from the wet/cold/stone building....

The blue is original and not done in PP...

What I did was this.... small crop to get rid of a 1/2 manhole cover. Added a little saturation, deepened it on low, and a tad contrast

in WS I added the same shot but with some vignetting around the corners...

enjoy your day and get out and take some photos.. =)

I agree! how this stands out, with the clarity the BLUE has, and the walls seem muddy and soft it adds tremendous contrasts Tricia! So glad to see you posting again! Love the drama here!

Hi, Tricia,
that is a stark contrast against the earthen tones of the wall. I like that shade of blue and they are in an excellent spot in the composition. I also like the bit of angle above them from the roof. (Odd, too, I just posted a pic called RED, and then saw it was by your BLUE) :)) I like that shot. Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Hi Tricia

Know the feelng about not being happy with a shot, posted an older shot that I was not happy with today.
Like your composition of this with slope of the roof above these windows.
I may have darkened the roof tiles at the top corner as these are quite bright and modern in apperance compared with the rest of the building.

Hi Tricia,

A wonderful idea coupled with colorful side of the life!
The sharpness and POv are just great, bringing great contrast between the blue windows and the rest of the dull colored wall. Wow, I appreciate your way of observing the things...well done!

thanks and regards,
Paras Bhalla

PS: I am sorry as I have already crossed my daily point-limit for today, otherwise I would love to award a smiley for this nice work.

Hello Tricia ,
An outstanding image with very strong composition.

Regards
Nazir

its kind of cool, i would of just had more of a tighter crop with the windows in the 1/3rds, however its a neat shot wool cool colors and textures,
and you also enjoy the day

Without seeing the original shot it's hard to know how well you have done in presenting it - this may be a great save from a rough original, or it may be a degradation of a beautifully clean shot ...?

I think the composition (via camera or crop) is great and the blue windows really stand out. Probably the biggest issue is resolution - detail and sharpness - which seems to have been lost either through crop, or post-treatment.

Overall though I like the impact and aesthetic of this shot, so don't be too hard on yourself!
