Finally, my last photo of my series of Norwegian roads. This one was taken in the valley of Dovrefjell, just next to a beautiful national park.

Some information about the place:

Dovrefjell is a mountain range in central Norway that forms a natural barrier between Eastern Norway and Trøndelag, the area around Trondheim. As a result, it has been heavily trafficked during and probably preceding historical times. Several mountain inns were established in the Middle Ages to house pilgrims traveling to Trondheim, and there are even ruins of an old leprosy colony in the northern area.
is a year-round highway but is at rare occasions closed for short periods during heavy winter weather conditions.
The natural habitat for many rare plants and animals, it has become a national park in several stages starting in 1911, when some plants were put under protection. When the railroad was built from Oslo to Trondheim in 1921, one of the marshes was reserved. In 1974, parts of the range became a national park and the park was extensively enlarged in 2002. Together with Rondane it has Norway and Europe's last stock of wild reindeer of Beringia origin. Dovrefjell (west of E6/Dovrebanen) also has a stock of musk oxen, imported from East-Greenland in 1932.

I like the style here Kristof - and a sharp and well composed photograph..

I may have waited 'til the campervan was out of the picture - but I only see these things after I post the image here myself LOL..

Cheers
David

Hi Kristof

A nice country capture. Nice sharp details and nice curve that creates a nice view with the road winding in the far end.

Have a good evening and TFS

Hi Kristof,
You know, the norvegian roads are typically the same than the ones of my gaspesian country! A lot of curves, ups and downs, long ribbon along precipices, mountains and wild nature...! I should like to make a trip there!
I like the perspective of the road snaking between the mountains passes! Bravo! Annie

Hi Kristof,
Fantastic composition and POV. You have interesting speed limit signs over there, quite like ours except yours are alot bolder and slightly bigger. Well captured with the camper-van and the dense hillside in the background. Well done.

TFS,
Scott.
