[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The first time I was on Karl Johan's Gate in Oslo was 1965. Oslo was a small provincial city at the time. The cars were all small and the people all very homogeneous in cultural background. Today Oslo is completely different. There are those traditional elements but along with those are signs of modern societies all over the world.

On Wednesday evenings hundreds of motorcyclists congregate to show off their bikes and outfits. I love the look of this biker....beneath the gear and the Chopper custom bike you can still see her beautiful Norwegian features.

There were literally hundreds of bikes on the street so the depth of field here is deliberate to isolate the subject.

Wow... this is fantastic Roger
Beautiful Norwegian features u've captured here, limited DOF is fantastic here (it was also needed)

Nicely composed and great idea of B&W loved this one

Cheers

Hi, Roger -
Love her tough expression behind the helmet and glasses. Fine sharp details of the rider and bike, great bokeh. Well composed with the bike and rider forming a rough "L" along the left and bottom of the frame. Sounds like a great event. Nice image.

Hi Roger,

wonderful dof created here. good details of the biker. well composed and a nice pov here.

Tfs,
Sanjib.

Hi Roger,

That's one bad and I imagine expensive bike she's riding. The B&W treatment and DOF are great here. The contrasts are impressive, TFS.

Best regards,
Werner

Hi Roger,
Great look of the biker and her Chopper.
love the way she hold the handle and look at the camera.
The BW tone and the detail are great. the DoF really works on isolating the subject.
Great work.

Hi Roger,
You were at Oslo, like Obelix in the magic potion!
Many bikes and good opportunities to take photos. This one is excellent. The contrast is strong enhancing the determined pose of your model. You kept the focus on her. Excellent DOF, brightness on the chrome and blurred BG. Bravo! Annie

Nice job. The shallow field does work beautifully. A deeper field of focus would've been fine too - and still kept the background blurred - but I note your shutter speed, there wasn't a lot to play with, here.

Knowing how/where to crop a motorbike (and legs, for that matter) in order to avoid the shot being too wide can be quite a challenge, but I think you've done it very well, here. We get sufficient context of the motorbike and rider without any wasted space.

Buena foto en B&W ,excelente edicion y luces ,impresionante los reflejos de la moto
Buen trabajo
un saludo

wow... amazign Roger.. what great shot :D superb details on teh subject ...great DOF so nice composition well done and thanks fro sharing .. Harout.

Hi Roger,
Nice silver reflections from the metal parts of the bike. Her posture/expressions fit the picture perfectly too. Great blurred background. The sky beghind her head looks a bit too bright, but it is a detail.
take care
Robert
