reminds me of the many ferns in my own backyard. When i was little, i always thought that when the fern unfolded, it became a new plant, and it wasn't a fern until it unfolded.

I had every fern I find in my garden and house at one time. I even bought ten acres of land in another state once, because I fel in love with the ferns, stream and cedar trees. Beautiful picture, life unfolding in nature. I like the twisty trail to the round end of the frond.

In the Canadian Maritimes, these are eaten as a veggie: fiddlehead greens. Quite tasty, I tried it. But no snails for me (Freddie).....
I find this shot both artistic and educational. Good work with the dof.

I surely like the shallow DOF in this photo. It does make for a more abstract feel to the photo. I presonally like to shoot close ups this way as well. I've been looking for some good fern compositions but never found one. Love the bright colors in this photo a lot.

Hi Pablo
This is a marvellous macro. You've managed to get a sense of movement into a photograph of a plant, which is no mean feat. The most remarkable thing I find is that the blurred shapes and shades in the background are what grab my attention, not the sharp foreground, interesting though that is.

I must sya thanks for liking my red water lily shot. Its because the deep staturation didnot really liked by many. Anyway my eyes like it so do you. That is the motivation and encouragement I got from you for saying so.
as for this fern, its is a story by its own, unfolding fronds to mturity. Nice lighting upon the frond and the blurry end gives a good impact to the overall photo.
