This is the personnel entrance on the back side of a mall in Oppdal, a tourist destination in the mountains of central Norway.

Why no bikes? Well this is Sunday afternoon and the mall is closed on Sundays!

Oppdal is a village with a population around 5000. The place is mostly based on tourism, with several ski resorts and a vast system of ski lifts and slopes in different categories.

The village itself is located at an altitude of 600 m, surrounded by peaks up to 1500 m.

And if anyone is wondering what is on the wall it is slate, a local product that is big business in Oppdal!

Hi Pablo,
Very well composed image. I like the line of the bikes rack making a good lead in to the red door! This one creates a strong visual impact in this luminous grey tone of the image. Excellent fluidity of colors. Very nice! Annie

Hi Pablo,
Very creative imaginative shot of the empty bikestand. Exceptional clarity with very sharp details to this lonely shot. With such high oil prices bicycle sales are booming here in the US.

Yeh... Oppdal.
If I'm correct, the first place ever I 'tried to ski', haha
A nightmare it became.!!!
It sure, would have been easier to go with a bike downhill there.
Good looking "Dutch" picture, Pablo.

Attractive, fresh, modern with the red door as a splash of colour (in Eastern countries known to keep the evil spirits away).

"Trés trčs chic" that "ardoise" grey puzzle!! An impression of modernity is convied by this building material.
The repetitive pattern of stands attrats attention inevitably on this softly-illuminated picture.

Hi Pablo...
Excellent shot, composition and details of "Bikestand".
Beautiful colors and perspective...

Hi Pablo,
This is a very interesting perspective. We don't have bikestands like this here. It seemed that people love to travel around with their four-wheeled vehicle and have the roads and parking lots filled. We have 4 bicycles in the garage with one equipped with a child seat.
Lovely composition with brilliant colors. Love the sight of the sight of the bright red door in the image.
Wonderfully presented, as always...

Hi Pablo, Good to see this it is very much like modern art the way the bike stand has been designed. Quite differnt to the bike storage outside the supermarkets here in China that i have seen. The wall looks good and is almost a mirror. TFS. Murray.

a wonderful color that he has these stones.
The bicycles for here are having an emphasis now.

Interesting capture my friend. You choice of time for the image result in good lighting on the bike stands. The red door helps move my eye through and to the right of the image. I guess that means the composition works pretty good.

Hi Pablo

This is a very abstract and modern image from you. I really like it with the textured wall and the repeating shapes of the bike rack leading us to the splash of colour in the red door. Well seen and composed.

Hi Pablo,

I always like good contrast factors in pictures and that red door provides a very bright contrast in comparison with the dull grey of the slate, wall and road surface. It gives something for the eye to lock on to. The usage of the bikestand to lead the eye is very clever too.

TFS.

The Mall was closed, but you went there anyway.... hmmmmm .... got a interesting picture, like a mod art construction. The red door sure pops out - blur the whole thing, give it a brush job, and it could be a Mondrian......
