Hi Pablo,

Those timber houses really give a warm and inviting feel to cities like this. I'm so glad it's on the World Heritage List, then it will be preserved.
When in Norway I love the roofing we see on the house in the FG. In the Netherlands we have some projects where they use it in environmentally friendly building methods and I must say that it looks very attractive.

Impressed by this photo Pablo.. and story
I like to see how neat the housing is done.. the wooden beams/logs fit so nice exactly together..looks a strong solid construction..( talking about the first house) The low wooden wall on left gives it the touch of old English country roads.. Yes I think Norway is a contry to vissit for sure.

I went on the Web this morning to learn more about Roros.
This line up of houses dating of the copper mines era, inspired by Danemark style and (some)covered of a vegetal roof is in fact a strong testimony of prosperous years.
Some day I'll find why they painted only a few of these as a restoration work.
Stones at foreground balance well the dark mass across the street.
