Since the rainbow ends at you house the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow must be inside some where. Nicely captured and presented- good colors. Son't know why the sky is lighter below the brighter rainbow and not on the other - Mmmmmmm!

Although not rare, they are sort of hard to get in digital., I used to do sort of well ones with old fashioned Cibachrome work from slides..but you seem to have caught it we.. on digital. Very good..Nice kind of transitional weather brings these on yes?

A double rainbow! What a moment!
Superb capture, wonderful colours.
One thought: how would the composition work if you cropped to just below the roof lines so that the rainbow dominated even more of the image -- it would be a more horizontal composition then -- what do you think? (Only my opinion -- not worth the paper it is printed on, of course)

I remember that seeing a double-rainbow was considered very lucky when I was in school and friends used to relate all sorts of stories to what happened when they saw such a dramatic natural phenomenon :) Lovely memories! Tell me what did you come across after having witnessed this, rather having caught it on camera? ;)

beautiful! it's interesting how the rainbow looks like it's emitting it's own light. could be because rainbows are caused by light reflecting off of the water vapor as color, maybe some white light reflects also. for some reason i didn't think photographing a rainbow was possible, don't know why.

What an interesting shot!
You are right, the sky is condiderably lighter below the rainbow! Possibly it is due to reflected light! If you look at the second rainbow, it is a mirrored image and the lighter area is to the left!

You responded well to a rare opportunity!

Where else could we see stereo Rainbows ?
The setting here is 'serious-dark..bit of long winter depression..Than to wake all up with the 'vivante' brightness and color explosion of the nice Rainbows and suddenly we feel happy...Did the Rainbow on right ended over a lake or snow?

What a fantastic capture of this double rainbow!!
It is so curious the effect of light under the first band, and it is also curious that the range of blues is better seen in the second (inverted) rainbow though dimmer than in the first.

I was about to rant on the fact of the lighter area under the rainbow, when I read your note an noticed that Silke did already do so. The raibows are wonderfully captured but the fact that you were able to compose them with the roof of this great house gives it all an even better perspective. The photo has a very pleasant mood.

Well this is something I've never tried to photograph! A nice looking double rainbow Pablo, I like how the one looks as though it's coming from the brick flue. Captured well showing the dismal lighting of the time, the color of the siding, and all the lines of the siding and window is very attractive. There IS alot to look at in this photo...more than one would think. Nice shot!

One for the window, a second for the chimney. That house is probably full of gold as it is suppose to have a cauldron of gold at the feet of the rainbow??
