Another sign of the times - like the use of B & W, and your choice of composition. Looks like the paint is pealing on the righthand building. The effect of filling the frame with partial building is very effective.

....but still standing! The view reminds me of some heritage sites (worldwide) but also closer to home at Fort Steele (mental note: must visit again, but this time with a good camera). B/W contrasts work well in this nicely balanced pov.

We have so many here in eastern Washington...I have almost given up counting..and there are plenty more in my wilderness as well....I think once they are abandoned...they look their best..perhaps even aesthetically better than when new!

Morning Pablo,
Abandonned - I also have one waiting to upload, but always other pictures are getting in the way.
Here lots of young farmers emigrate f.e. to Canada, there they also have to start big. However the start is quite different from emigration just after the war. This time they start with capital and very well informed of how the rules and regulations are in the country they have chosen.

I think a wise move for the conversion factor Pablo. Lovely detail and excellent light and shade. Tasmania does have some farms around the 5,000 acre mark but then I am used to the 15,000 acres of Western Australia or in the far north of that state farms which are measured in square miles. TFS,

Trying to catch up after my break. This is an excellent B&W capture, perfect ballance of contrast with attractive lines in the I was only wondering about the dark wall of the building in the BG; is this one black painted wall, I don't see any detail in it e.g. shelfs. Anyway a fine picture Pablo!

Looks like the vegetation is trying to creep its way into the barn! Nice strong contrast that brings out the variations in the planks on the side of the barn, and the roof of the adjacent barn, as well as the shadows from the ramp.
