Hello Pablo.
A good shot in this wintery Norsk Landscape. It shows, you got a lot of snow already.
Regarding the pine trees, it grows fast, as it burns too.
In Holland the highest prizes of open fire woods are from the Fruit trees. They burn more longer and dont gives sparks out of the fire.

Nice daily life photo.
I really like the snow cover on the woods.
This photo brings very beautifully the norway's cultural side.

Till a week ago I was in the same sort of surroundings in Canada... now back to ' normal' with about 10c plus..

Hello Pablo,
A simple shot, blanketed in snow, to warm us with thoughts of crackling fires! My daughter will be marrying a man next month whose family owns a lumber mill in our area, and he tells me that mostly we burn oak, white or red. I know we avoid pine, which is plentiful here, because of the creosote build-up it causes in the chimneys.

Hi Pablo,

My brother just went skiing in Norway and they had rented a small cabin with a huge open fireplace, but they never got around to buy wood. What a shame, it looks and smells so lovely and even more so if the hours of daylight are few.
Lovely to see that fresh snow on that huge supply of wood. Must be a big job to chop all that wood and seeing by the footsteps leading to it, it is already in good use (hope it is dry enough).

TFS our picture of life in Norway is getting more and more complete.

Excellent Pablo with the stacks positioned as they are within the frame. Good colour and lovely detail. Pine is good but the pine here burns hot and fast.

Hi Pablo,
A very common sight, wood must be in demand every where:) but I didn't realize pine was in such a demand...my experience with pine is it burns too fast and snaps too much making sparks jump...birch is a nicer wood but it to burns fast. Good to know what people in different parts of the world prefer for wood. Birch is used alot here, but we have a pretty good supply of it.
A good shot of a very common scene. Composed well and with good detail.

i love this firewood shot, Pablo.. beautiful arrangement for drying and selling.. we used to have like this here for cooking.. but the traditional cooking using firewood is fading.. we hardly using this anymore only interior places..

Hi Pablo,
Great winter scene with excellent details and sharpness. The deep fresh snow makes a wonderful contrast with the varying tones of the wood pile. My son-in-law heats the house with an outdoor wood stove and the pool in the summer saving lots of money with the price of oil.

In my province of Québec, people can pay up to 120 dollars for 3.6 cubic meters of wood. And now, environmentalists say that fireplace smoke pollutes!
So what I see in your picture is worth much money and looks protected of thiefs because of its remoteness by the forest.
Interesting document and great control of highlights.
