Pablo,

The details of this rustic place is beautiful. The brilliant colors of the sign add a bright spot to a place that, I am sure, sees it's coat of white snow! Perhaps they allow the sign if the product is obsolete? Who knows... All I know is I like it very much. I would love to see the entire house for the architectural aspect. :)

the sign looks like a nostalgic thing
i like the heavy wood you show here in the construction, the textures and highlights

Probably this adverising is so old it is from the time tobacco with still good for your health. But the company still exist an has it headquarter in Copenhagen.

Yesterday I was in the process of typing a comment when a Swedish couple came to sit next to me - they are enjoying 3 weeks in the sun here. So I completely forget to finish my comment.
Lovely to see solid timber houses, and that old. Hope there never is a fire to ruin it. Never mind the advertising, that is also part of the history of the building.

I used to collect old tin advertising. I love the one on the building. In my country, they tear down everything old, even if it is functional, and replace with modern that never lasts. I love old places. I like to see how people built the world to last, long ago, instead of just for now!

Maybe it was a chewing tobacco ad instead of a smoking!
A fine depiction of a sturdy construction...and the nostalgic flash back to window panes of yesteryears through wich objects and landscapes were distorted due to artisanal manufacturing of glass!
A picture full of truth.
