[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The photo was taken at my summer holiday in Norway, 2008. This is one of the small fjords near Trondheim. It was a rainy day and I found this POV interesting as the purple flowers break the domination of boring grey.
PS: Does anyone know the flower's name?

Hello Kristof,

I hope you have better weather in Hungary than we have over here in Slovenia. I need to go somewhere sunny again soon. :)

The clarity of this image is excellent. Well composed with good saturation of colours and great sharpness. The POV is well chosen and the atmosphere in the image is really peaceful.

Have a nice day,

Stasa

Hello Kristof,
Beautiful fjord! I have seen a lot of pictures of Norway and colours are often really dark (but beautiful:) These flowers are perfect here, and as you wrote it's contrast.
Best regards
Karolina

Hi Kristof

The purple flowers add a welcome splash of colour, to the overall grey monotones. I would rotate the image slightly ccw. Good sharpness, with subtle reflections on the lake. Tfs!

Hi Kristof

A so lovely pov here , in a very beautiful rainy atmosphere I think.
Beautiful composition. Very nice to see.
Best regards

Hi Kristof,
Beautiful landscape and composition,
good colors and flowers in front , good sharpness and light, I see a little tilt on right , anyway it a beautiful picture..
bonne journée
Michel

Hello Kristof,

I concur with your notes about the importance of the 'softening' flowers. Sadly, in northern regions we cannot hope for lovely blue skies every day but the grey makes a fine b/g for the flowers which are called rosebay willowherb.
An excellent composition of horizontal layers.

have a good day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Kristof
First thing, the flowers are epilobium angustifolium known as épilobes in french and as (I discover it) "fireweed" in England .I like the pov of your shot but should have preferred a shiny day, and anyway a slight correction for the horizontality of the bg beach. Not a drama however.

henri

Hi Kristof,
Beautiful view on this open space. Fine rendering of the backlighting, here! We find these flowers in northern areas. As Bev said, we call them willow herb and epilobe in french. The specie is a perennial flower very common in my area.
Look at there !
My compliments! Annie
